KBHR was built in 1995 by Rick and Cathy Herrick. Rick was Program Director and Sales Manager of KXLU-AM/FM broadcasting and has received a degree in International Business and Economics from Loyola Marymount University. The station has won numerous awards not only for its programming, but also for its community service.
